Onsite role in, but open to other bay area office locations.
Bachelor s degree required. Masters, preferred.
The Reality Labs (RL) organization at Client's is helping more people around the world come together and connect through world-class Augmented and Virtual reality (AR/VR) products. Our XR-Tech organization is focused on cutting edge research and development of machine perception technologies from early concepts to production level across all of Client's AR/VR products and surfaces.
In this role, you will apply software, computer vision and machine learning techniques to solve challenges in Mixed and Virtual Reality. The ideal candidate will have industry or research experience in training vision, video, and/or multi-task models using a variety of real, synthetic, labeled, and unlabeled data.
Responsibilities:
- Apply relevant computer vision and machine learning techniques to solve challenges in depth estimation, semantic segmentation, and other vision tasks.
- Curate and manage diverse datasets, develop effective training strategies to boost model performance.
- Develop robust and well-optimized production models.
- Code using primarily Python and PyTorch. Conduct design and code reviews.
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:

2 PyTorch
3 Have trained computer vision model that either went into production if the person comes from industry, or was published if the person comes from academia.
Good to have skills: | 1 Having trained with a mix of data sources, synthetic, real, labeled, or unlabeled. |
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of industry experience in computer vision and deep learning, in areas such as segmentation, video understanding, and/or semi-supervised learning.
- Experience developing machine learning algorithms or infrastructure in Python and PyTorch.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D computer vision or computer graphics.
- Familiarity with ML model optimization.
- Experience developing production software with thoughtful code reviews and appropriate testing.
